It was released earlier this year.

I have one, and it's great, but just be warned that the display is the main battery drain. everything else is fine except the screen. It's beautiful, but horribly inefficient.

Other than that, the specs... I would say that this is the most well-rounded phone on the market. It's x86, so you could potentially run desktop windows, and it has dual-channel RAM, and gobs of it for a mobile phone.

ah, well, then, they just made a tier 2 model with more RAM. kewl.

Other than that nothing changed. This is just a variant. For all intents and purposes, it's the exact same phone.

4gb of ram dou sooooo for 30 bucks more. thats pretty good so im gonna go for it  maybe make a shit review

Have the Zenfone 2, very happy with my purchase, couldn't be happier. So at $230 dollars it gives you 4gb of ram. Pay $70 more and storage goes from 16GB to 64GB. CPU from 1.8GHz to 2.4GHz and you get the Asus quick charger adapter. The cheap one doesn't come with it and it's sold separately. I remember seeing it was $30 dollars for the Asus quick charger.

 

Went to AT&T asking for Asus ZenFone 2 during that time and they didn't have it or even heard of it. Looks like they have it now.
