Today was good again and the system has been put together and we leak tested it and it leaked by the rad so we made sure to use lots of hot glue.

should have skipped the rad and pump and just hooked up a garden hose....

I have determined that no matter how much hot snot, there will always be a leak. I mean seriously, i have made an anthill of hot snot and it still managed to leak

See I had the same problem so I put a base of wood glue, waited for it to expand, added rubber cement, then put 1000 pounds of hot glue everywhere

Just keeping this here as a I have determined that no matter how much hot snot, there will always be a leak. I mean seriously, i have made an anthill of hot snot and it still managed to leak

So has this been abandoned? xD

No I have finished and will post pics tomorrow. I sorta got side tracked when I started making a super computer with my schools old computers. I might post about that too. It doesn't leak just the tape to hold it to the CPU is extreme ghetto.

No I have finished and will post pics tomorrow. I sorta got side tracked when I started making a super computer with my schools old computers. I might post about that too. It doesn't leak just the tape to hold it to the CPU is extreme ghetto.

UPDATE!

Well this is the conclusion to my project. Is it a good idea to ghetto water cool a PC? YES! If you made a waterblock out of something water tight I could totally see it viable. I don't see it happening on a titan X and i7 5960X but for an old home sever it is a nice little project. We entered the BIOS and the idle temps went from 90C to 59C. I call that a major win considering toothpastes thermal properties. I was going to post a video of use overclocking it and the temps but well lets just say hot glue isn't the best thing to seal things with. After we got the temps we went to the voltage and clock speed but by the time we went to it in the BIOS water had gotten under the pins of the CPU and well you can sorta guess what happened. I also dropped it on a kids toe and think I broke his toe so I might need to give him something. In conclusion it was a fun little project that could of worked it we would have used something like epoxy or waterproof glue. This isn't the end of these kinds of threads from me as we are trying to run GTA V on a cluster of 16 computers. Man it is going to be hard but seeing tek syndicate show a video on how to make GTA V run on linux I have faith. I will post a real build log of when I do a 4K overhaul on my PC this June.

Dang, sucks... my Dad dropped a dresser on his foot once when he was moving, still missing half a toenail. Way cooler to have that happen by computer though- he got injured by the ghettoest water cooled PC that ever was.
