Whats your IQ?

ViperGTX88

Hi, I am cures to how smart you guys are on this forum. If you have the time then go to http://www.free-iqtest.net/ and take the quick 20 question test and post your IQ score. If you are not honest then you are just lying to your self and others. I understand that there are better and longer test that are more accurate but, this is the most simple and fastest i could find.

I scored 98.

This literally shows no accurate repersentation of any kind of intellect at all.

This.

I took a pre-requisite psychology class in College and what I basically took from it were the following things:

1. Freud was insane.

2. IQ tests mean nothing about true intelligence, knowledge, and understanding due to how they work.

and

3. People are sheep.

154...and I'm pretty sure all you are older than me, that is definitely not an accurate depiction of one's intellect.

Loving how people blame the test. They're suppose to make you think, so if they don't make sense to you...that's why they're on the test.

That is one of the problems of an IQ test. They are made for specific demographics and can only be used for such things as they have to account for the type of person who takes it.

This makes comparison of IQ results completely pointless unless you and the other person are within the exact same demographics (Age, Race, Location of birth/raised, Gender, etc)

Well in terms of age, I assume this was made with adults in mind. Being 15, that obviously makes me question why I got 154, but it also makes me wonder why others got lower than me.

I doubt there are any other factors that would differ myself from all the other people here, all of us are from Developed countries with good education systems etc.. (Which takes out the race, location factor)

So if you were to take the demographic into account based solely on age, how does it make sense for me to get higher than others older than me?

You do not seem to get it. Everything that entails your life directly influences your psychological makeup.

It does not matter if we are all from developed countries with decent educational systems, we are still very different because of the culture of where we grew up and how we were treated in relation to others based on our race. Prejudice exists whether it is actively displayed or not. That something that humans do not lose. It is built into us by our culture and the simple fact we are human.

That, and being younger (of a different demographic) does not directly mean you will have a lower score. IQ is meant to not entail specifically knowledge, but your ability to understand, perceive, and manage it. As you are 15, you are going through hormonal changes in your body that could very well make you better at something than others older than you because of how the IQ test is designed. I am not well versed in psychology enough to analyze the test and tell you why you got a higher score, but I know it is perfectly possible for you to get one even though you are younger than us.

Anyway, you get the idea I hope.

Words of a true genius, I love it

Also I still think the IQ test should be retired and the military spatial reasoning test to be introduced, if the IQ test was a more accurate measure of intelligence then the military would use it, but they don't, they use their spatial reasoning test.

I think that test was quite math based.

I know a girl who couldn't count on her fingers to save her life (ok, im exaggerating), but she is like a walking dictionary. And i was friends with a special-ed girl in Jr. High, she was 14 and still couldn't read, but she could do triple digit multiplication in her head (not exaggerating here).

I doubt that that test is very precise. For one, it has too few questions, leading to sampling bias due to undersampling. Also, a couple of the questions aren't even exact. For example, there isn't a precise line drawn between a twig and a branch. It also doesn't seem to be a very reputable site.
