I am looking for the best AMD gaming pc that will handle 16 GB of RAM

RedstoneUFO

Planetside ran on my Athlon II X2 250 - will be a piece of cake for the 4460.

Dying light will be fine. It's GPU-intensive

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAA

my build gets 60 fps on max setting in PlanetSide 2

i had an 8320 and i got 40 fps

its stupidly CPU intensive, and will not run well (at max) on a 4460

I love AMD. I have an older laptop with AMD that runs better than my new laptop with Intel. I am hunting for a good desktop PC now. One that is cheap and will run 16 GB about average. I am wanting to take full advantage on all the PC resources.

Thanks,

I'd go for an 860k + discrete gpu, or you could go a10-7870k, but you would want faster ram for that. Any cpu that I'm aware of can handle 16GB of ram, with 2x8 GB.

  • 4 weeks later...

a xeon? for gaming? at $700?

That's the best CPU under 250 USD. 4 cores w/ hyperthreading @ 3.4 GHz. It is comparable to a 300 USD i7.
