Like a 6, pretty average. can't hear it on my mic and it is only slightly audible while watching a video with headphones..

But I do have an HDD..

And just 1 case, 1 CPU fan, 1 very small GPU fan.. and that's about. Decent and pretty big case, but no noise dampening material

My ambient noise level is reasonably high due to a window ac unit and even though my pc is on a test bench on top of my desk less than three feet from my head I have to try really hard to hear it even under a gaming load with my system audio muted. If I'm doing anything I can't hear it at all.

Average use which I think is at 6. Could be lower, usually don't get higher than 55c Temps allover. I got Noctua PPC in my rig but has mild fan curve.

5. Kind of loud at idle (most likely due to the liquid cooler, I already set the case fans to the Silent preset in BIOS) but pretty quiet when gaming. CPU stays at 50 degrees when gaming and the GPU at no higher than 65.

My PC is weird when it comes to noise. Its the same volume at idle as it is at load. Dunno why. Its relatively quiet in a Fractal R4

Virtually silent when idling just discernible if the GPU is going full chat .

Have an R5 with 3 intake fans one exhaust two CPU cooler all running very slowly. so whisper quiet, once I have the side on the system is virtually silent.

Even once it's ramped up the Noctua fans run quiet and the case seems to take care of most of the noise so if you listen for it you can just make it out (within about three feet of the system).

The power supply fan doesn't turn at idle power consumption.  At idle the GPU fans don't spin (Strix GTX970).

probably around a 3 when my HDD isn't doing anything.

tough i have a WD Black, and this thing is loud! i think maybe a 7 or 8 when my HDD is doing stuff :(

it also sits right on my desk about a foot away from my head, so you can hear pretty much everything that it's doing :P

I selected Ultra Quiet because I just can't hear it when it's idling.  When it heats up however it can get quite noisy due to the amount of airflow.

Depends on the load, obviously. At idle, silent. It's semi-passive. Usually after 10 minutes or so the CPU fans kick in and spin at around 300 RPM, which is still inaudible to me.

Under usual load I'd say a 4/10. It's audible but not too bad. Under heavy load, though, especially in Summer it can get quite loud in effort to keep my GPUs boosting fully. I consider it loud anyway, it's still quieter than an Xbox One.

3 sounds about right. If you walk into my study when it's on you can't tell its on.

If I start playing Withcer 3 or something the GPU fan spins up and its a little louder maybe a 5 but you still can't hear it that much At all

My AMD 290x makes a lot of noise, and my wife hates my razor chroma with his mechanical key switches.
