Streaming with 2 pcs, possible?

My current system is: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4vbQWZ

GTX970 is overclocked to 1528Mhz under load.

i7 2600k is OCed to 4.4Ghz.

Now I was given some parts today that got me thinking what I could do with a 2nd system. One thing that came to mind was running a game server in the future. However, currently the biggest benefit I can think of was to make a dedicated streaming pc, to game on main system and somehow do the encoding on this 2nd PC.

Now I am not familiar with these parts, particularly the cpu:
i5-3350P CPU
P8P67 Asus Motherboard
and an AMD ATI Radeon Sapphire HD3650

(and my old spare 700W CoolerMaster PSU + some fans)

Still need to get a case and memory.

Now, with those new parts, is streaming with it doable/ practical?  And if so, what would I need to pull it off. I'm confused on how it would capture both audio and video from my main pc (using OBS)

Would you want to use a capture card and stream that way?

I havent looked into that either. Up until now Ive only used the hardware listed. I'm unaware of what options are available/ or what most people use to increase gameplay performance while streaming.

You'll need a capture card to get your screen onto the other PC unless you want to use skype or something.

getting a secondary pc to stream is always a better idea, you dont need a gpu in it and 8gb of ram will be plenty enough.

id go the cheaper way and get an fx-8350 for the streaming pc.

and here

edit- you do need a capture card, screw that, just get a new  cpu so that you can stream from the same pc.

Gpu: MSI 4G GTX 970 | Cpu: i5 4690k @4.6Ghz 1.23v | Cpu Cooler: Cryorig r1 ultimate | Ram: 1600mhz 2x8Gb corsair vengeance | Storage: sandisk ultra ii 128gb (os) 1TB WD Green | Psu: evga supernova g1 650watt | Case: fractal define s windowed |

this is what you would need, this is what i found from the internet so you dont need the exact same specs, id personally just get a good cpu like the 4790k and not waste all that money on a second pc, not worth it.

Doesn't matter much to me, I already have the i5-3350P to fiddle with (hopefully its strong enough to stream?)

I'll look into what capture cards are, thanks for the quick responses everyone.

if you already have the parts then just get a capture card :)

does the capture card bypass the load of cpu? Like would I be able to plug that into my current gaming rig to offset any performance drops while streaming? Or would I still need to use the 2nd PC with the i5-3350P?

I think that it will use the CPU, not sure though. You will have to do some reaserch but it seems like many big streamers have a dedicated system and they probably do beacuse it gets a performance increase.
