Can't boot my pc

Tygara_19

So I just encountered this problem. My mother was browsing the web on my computer and when i got home i saw this: nN2ueZX.jpg. I don't know how it happened since my mom is a tech disaster. I have access to the BIOS and the boot options menu. I can also boot from DVD/USB fine. Which leads me to thinking it is some kind of OS fail. That is all I got at the moment. My question is has anyone ever encountered such a problem, and if yes, how did you fix it? And what was it caused by? Thanks all! Cheers from Bulgaria!

Erm, wow, something new every day..

First check there are no memory sticks in the PC when you boot. I've also seen keyboards with PS2 connections cause weird artifacts like this.

After that, I'm thinking the OS repair CD would be a good call.

If you have no memory, the PC will not even post, let alone boot into Windows.

ya. Andrew Meant flash drives in case the PC tried to boot from them. At my old IT job, we had a problem with a particular PC that tried to boot ANY flash drive, and it doesnt matter if the flash drive is bootable.

I have no plugged in flash drives. I believe, however that the OS ran out of space. Last time I checked i had 3GB of free space on the C drive left. I will reinstall Windows and see what happens. (I am on Windows 7 Ultimate)
