h100i temps

Swegly

So as you probably know I have had multiple threads about my bad h100i temps (50degrees idle and 85 under load) . Soooooooo I re situated the h100i and applied new paste and now I get 30 degrees on idle and at 100% load on Very High settings with IntelBurnTest I get 70 degrees max and it hovers around 50-60 on average. Would you guys say I can call it fixed?

my 4690k doesnt even reach 70c on prime 95 at 1.3v volts at 4.7ghz and my cooler is around as good as yours.

still haswell...... so youre telling me a stock 4670k vs a stock 4690k gets 20c more? no it doesnt my friend.

stock mine only hits 50c max  on prime95 which hits it big.

4690K is a revisioned 4670K because it was known for getting hot under load

The haswell refreshes run WAY cooler fyi

There might be some other variable increasing his temps but the main thing would be that its a 4670k and not a 4690k

maybe this will help you understand  better, i think it should still be lower, look at the max temps, hes only hitting 80c max at 4.8ghz and yours is touching 70c  at stock

I have seen him do this on other threads. People ask about a problem but he has to stomp on dead grass to make himself feel better.

I don't see what you are getting at.

Plus with the haswell chips i've seen them either be overclocking gods with amazing temps or completely awful

wtf you talking about? im trying to help or is this something you dont understand? wont help then, bye.

maybe, maybe not, maybe his cooler just isnt performing as it should be, im trying to help and hes not listening.

il let someone else help him, think most will agree a h100i should not be hitting 70c on a 4670k at stock.

Not all chips are equal so remember that, I've seen people get unbelievable temps at high voltages with single 120mm air coolers so I wouldn't be surprised for bad temps at stock

i know that, but at stock it should be irrelevant as they all run at the same voltage.

My 2 cents, your temps are fine, idle and load.

there will be some differences, some will naturally respond to any voltage with heat and some will just deal_with_it_glasses_by_stewartisme_d5tu

id try verify it by testing two 4690ks on the same  cooler at stock but yeah i dont know anyone close with a 4690k.

Well, this isn't quite the same but my 4460(haswell refresh) maxes out at 48c on the hottest core when stress testing. I have Be Quiet Pure Rock and run it at like 400-500 rpm.

both have same tdp so will be  pretty close, mine actually hits around 45-48 on stock at 1.050v prime95.

there will always be differences, plus there's the margin of error to consider too

yeah but not that much, i doubt you would see any more than a 3c difference at the same voltage.
