What power supply to get?

Go to solution Solved by givingtnt,

Do you happen to know of a very short power supply. Or at least one that isn't as long as mine?

not really, well the supenova g2 750w is farely short. but idk if it fits your needs

edit : nope it won't its too long

I currently have a Lian Li TU200 and its a very small case. http://www.lian-li.com/en/dt_portfolio/pc-tu200/

I also have a 1000W platinum power supply inside it, and its massive and takes up too much space. I'd like to get a small in length power supply and one that is fully modular. I have a gtx 660ti and an i7 5820k inside. Hopefully those two will tell you how many watts I will need. Price isn't really an issue just so long as it isn't more than $200.

Now for the hard part. The real reason I want a smaller power supply is so that I can put a 140mm AIO water cooler inside. These are the two water coolers I'm looking at right now, but i'm open to other suggestions as well. I'd like to know weather these will fit in my case along with the new power supply.

This is my opinion, it doesn't mean I'm right and is liable to change at any time. I may offend of which I apologize in advance.

Your current case accepts up to 140mm in PSU length and it says the maximum height for a CPU Cooler is 80mm.

From the looks of the specifications you should be able to fit in a 140mm CPU cooler as it does accept 3 fans @ 140mm in total. 1 intake at the front and 2 exhausts, one at the back and top.

I'd personally look at trying to take out the CD drive and attempt to fit it at the top if your up for some case modding maybe, could fit straight away. You can put it as an intake at the front instead of the 140mm fan (Good image to show you what I mean http://i.imgur.com/iMuYJkG.jpg). Bare in mind thats how far out it will come so you'll need to check your GPU length.

It's just basically trying to play about with things but the only issue with putting it at the top from looking is that it may be restricted exhausting with the PSU been so close.

CPU: i7 8700k   Motherboard: Asus Maximus Hero  RAM: 16GB @ 3600Mhz  GPU: MSI 980Ti 6G  Case: Fractal Design R5 (4 Intakes/3Exhausts)  Storage: Crucial BX100 SSD, Samsung 850 & Seagate 2TB HDD  PSU: Seasonic M12II Evo '850W'  CPU Cooling: Corsair H110i GT

Do you know what wattage my PSU really needs to be for a gtx 660ti and a i7 5820k from intel?
