single vs dual channel memory gaming benchmark request

Hi,

 

system specs:

 

4790K oc to 4.6MHz, 1.25vcore, temps 50-80c

Zotac Amp Extreme 980ti, stock

120GB samsung 840 SSD

 

when swapping out 2x4GB of kvr1333d3n9/4g and replacing with 1x kvr1333d3n9/8g, the game seemed to be getting cpu bottlenecked. with gpu usage being 70% max(on 1080p settings with everything maxed out, with FXAA enabled)cpu usage hovering around 90%, which is up from about 50%. I was like what the hell is wrong here. Then i released that i swapped out the RAM, swapped the 2 4gb sticks and everything is fine now.

 

I was wondering if Linus could make a video on a topic like this - benchmarking games on single and dual channel configurations, im sure it would be useful lots of people, plus i think he has done everything else.
