do i need more power?

as the title states, im wondering if i need more power to do maby some overclocking or something. 

i have an I5 4690K and a G1 GTX970 and my PSU is 500W, is that enough or should i get more watts, also would 450W be enough for an asus STRIX GTX970 and a I5 4460 just wondering that for a friend.

To answer your question, I'd personally go with a 600-650W PSU if you're going to OC the CPU, possibly the GPU aswell

Yes it will but what PSU are you gonna get?

the PSU i have is a 500W cooler master one im looking at it right now because my case has no side panel right now xD

To answer your question, I'd personally go with a 600-650W PSU if you're going to OC the CPU, possibly the GPU aswell

im using the stock Intel CPU cooler so no overclocking of the CPU for now, just the GPU because the G1 is silly good at it

If you are overclocking then always go for more. Go 650W or 750W.

A good 500w is enough. Get more if you're going to be OC'ing.

If you have a stock cooler, then i recommend not overclocking CPU. Overclock your gpu a bit if you want but if you want to be safe the get a new PSU.

Your PC will draw about 240W max under load overclocked so get something with more POWER than that ;)
