MSI GP60 leopard

I'm thinking of buying the MSI GP60 leopard as my college laptop due to the SSD + HDD combination. I probably won't do any gaming on it, but I just couldn't find a non-gaming SSD+HDD laptop.

 

Since this is a 'lower-end' laptop from the MSI, is the build quality & screen still any good? because if it's not that great, I won't be buying it as I expect it to last me a long time for the money spend on it.

 

Reviews/tips/own experiences or alternatives are welcome :)

could you link the exact one you are planning to get?

The Netherlands. Budget 1300euro. 

 

My aim is to have a light laptop, but still with a 'decently' powerful cpu + 8gb or 16gb ram and a SSD with a 15inch screen. I just couldn't find these specs in a non-gaming laptop.. :/

It'll be for software engineering study, so mainly programming.

 

What do you advice?

I don't think it's a huge problem. I've had an acer with 1TB hdd which lasted me 4years of college. 

The thing is, 512gb ssd laptops always go way over 1500euro... from what i've seen and I don't know whether 256gb ssd is enough for 4years of college? 

 

as far as I know 256gb storage is like 150gb of usage... I have my doubts with that.

128gb ssd + 1tb hdd

FHD 1920x1080

8gb ram

price: 1050euro

 

The specs / price looks pretty good imo.

It might be worth looking at CLevo laptops, have a look on eurocom

The thing is that I just want the 128gb to boot windows quickly. Nothing more annoying than to wait half an hour to start up your laptop in college. Also clevo and eurocom are not available in the netherlands i think.

Should be they are all over the place, you can order from their site I think you should not pay much/any any import tax inside europe etc

 

I just prefer to have all my programes/games/applications installed to SSD too, if your not installing much it should be ok
