Quick Tutorial: Auto Calibrate VGA The RIGHT Way! OLD VGA USERS

iamdarkyoshi

Very quick post here. I discovered this trick and it is rather obsolete now (I wish it were obsolete 10 years ago) and it is a way for the "auto calibrate" function on a VGA display to lock onto the signal perfectly. It REALLY helps on older displays to get the display looking sharper.

First make SURE the monitor is in the correct resolution.

Download the .zip from here and just grab the .exe and put it wherever. Run it. There are two main functions for this: Stuck pixel repair and panel testing. We need the panel testing. Select the monitor you want to calibrate and select the checkerboard pattern. Once it is full screen on the monitor, go into the monitor settings and hit Auto Adjust. Once this is done, hopefully you can distinguish the checkerboard better. Close the test pattern by right clicking, and see if anything looks better.
