Hi! I have a AMD Radeon 7800series and im not getting 299fps, im only getting 200-250fps and sometimes lower. Im wondering what graphics card do i need to run the game at full quality and full fps ? Any suggestions, sorry for my bad English :)

I don't see why you want to try and get to the cap of the frame rate unless you have a 144hz monitor.

If you do have a 144hz monitor I recommend getting a cheap gpu like a 750ti or a amd r9 270x to run the game on max settings (imo 750ti is better value ;^) )

But yeah you won't be able to notice any extra frames on a regular 60hz monitor

Also if you wanna spend like 30 bucks more you can spring and get a gtx 950 which is well worth it. that is if you're going to play any other games besides cs:go

I actually do have a 144hz monitor! Idk if i need more framerate, but i just bought a new ssd cuz i though my HD drive was giving me some lagspikes. I dont know what the problem is so i figured since i have a new cpu, ddr3 memory and motherboard, it must be the gpu. Do you guys have any clues on the lag/shuttering. I can feel the diffrence when the fps drops below 200 and that happens sometimes, and no the gpu is not overheating :)

But a 270X = 760, and costs like a few dollars more... Wot "value" are you speaking of :/

Not trying to start an argument, but rlly...

Probably a 740/750, but you might want to buy a 120/144hz monitor to get the full effect.

My GTX 760 runs the game 1080p maxed out details 200-300 fps.

To maintain 298-300fps you would need GTX 980/ R9 390 or higher I GUESS.

200-300 fpa makes no differrence. Monitors with such framerate dont exist YET even though there is one 200Hz coming out soon.

You only need 100fps at most. But if the fps drops from 300 to 100 in intense situations and u feel micro lag/stutter then its a problem and i can understand your need for better gpu :)

Okey guys, i have a 144hz monitor, see ? And im actually not that worried about the fps, just the lag/shuttering that happens sometimes, and as i said, i have changed everything else except graphics card, so it must be the gpu ? Oh and i have a intel i5 CPU.

Ahhh CS players. Console guys get 30fps. And here we talk about 300fps.

Btw if you don't like variations just cap it at 144fps and you will be happy

I was at 140FPS, now i get 220FPS+ with my 390, i feel zero difference, in game like Far Cry 3 though i can use 8xMSAA at 1080p and still stay at a smooth 60FPS :)

Getting something like a R9 290 or a GTX 970 would be ample. I have a 970 and it runs at around 270-320fps. And guys, there is a difference between 60fps and 300fps. Lower latency, and its much, much smoother. Play a game at 300+ fps, then cap it at 60 and tell me you don't feel a difference.

I capped CSGO at 59FPS with vsync (removes any vsync latemncy issues) there is literally no difference at 60hz.

I performed exactly the same as i did at 140FPS, the only reason i leave it uncapped is because Riva Tuner Statistics server applied it to all my games.

the difference is smoothness. and GO doesn't let you cap lower than 60, and vaunted can be disabled within the video options. capping yourself at 60 is just giving yourself more opportunities for CS to drop frames below 60.

frames never drop below 60 at 60 if your hardware can do much better than it.

There is no difference with smoothness, if anything picture quality is much improved as you see solid frames.
