How much is my old system worth?

shibbs
Go to solution Solved by ApexVasii,

$120, he gets the friend discount :D

probably your best bet.

So I'm thinking about selling my old system to a friend here at work. I don't want to rip him off, but at the same time I can't just give it away, either.

Core2Duo E8400

Asus P5Q Pro motherboard

Some gigantic OCZ air cooler

8GB Corsair RAM - DDR2 1066

EVGA GTX650 Ti

Antec Three Hundred case

Rosewill or Corsair (I forget) 650W PSU

Buncha fans and whatnot.

The only thing he'd need is a HDD, and it would be ready to rock.

Thanks!

hard to say, its not a bad system, but its not a particularly good system either.

my bet would be calculating how much it costs in new parts, and half that. that'd be a very good "maximum price" depending on the condition.

I would keep it and use it as a practice system. I trully dont think on the market its worth the headache of trying to sell. You would be surprised how handy a practice rig can be.
