Prefer 5 ghz band on Killer 1202

Hey guys, I recently installed the Killer 1202 network card in my laptop, but it seems pretty random when it connects to 2.4 vs 5ghz. Problem is, the SSID's for both bands are the same at my college and I get horrible speeds on 2.4ghz (eg: 20 Mbps on 2.4 vs 80 Mbps on 5). Any way to force the card to pick the 5ghz?

I already tried that, problem is that despite having connected to both the 5ghz and 2.4ghz band of my school's SSID, they still both show up as one profile. I'm on Windows 10, btw. Have already Googled a bunch, which is why I'm asking here.
