That's about right. I really wished I gotten the G3258 instead of that FX-6300 but it wasn't available at the time :C.

And now I wish I gotten the 5920k instead of the 4790k but it was pricey then.

You see the difference between the 8370 and 6700K no? Nvidia's lack of scaling has got jack to do with the CPU performance. But just for sake of completeness;

that little core i3 is a nice boost from the FX-8370 isn't it @Nena360 ? ^^

i wouldn't bother. i would upgrade your gpu first. its quite clear that nobody bothered to look at you pc specs before answering. also i would set your cpu voltage to 1.425v and downclock your cpu to 4.4-4.5ghz.

Rig Specs:

AMD Threadripper 5990WX@4.8Ghz

Asus Zenith III Extreme

Asrock OC Formula 7970XTX Quadfire

G.Skill Ripheartout X OC 7000Mhz C28 DDR5 4X16GB

Hi, I have an AMD FX-9590 and I wanted to change to Intel, is it worth it to upgrade to i7-6700k? Any suggestion or comments?

If you don't pay your own bills, wait till you see how direct x performs with 8 physical cores.

If you do, upgrade yesterday.

The high end FX chips alone eat as much power as a low budget gaming pc
