Is Palit really as bad as people make it look like?

Afiqos4253

Hello fellow LMG forum users! Quick question, as in the title, is it really bad? Cause people around me have been saying their products are low quality, so I figured it would be best to ask the experts and users of Palit graphic cards here!:) I found a good deal on a Palit GTX 980Ti Super Jetstream, brand new and the same price as a Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980. So I'm kinda torn between these two. Please advise, thanks!

I'm using a Palit GPU and have never ran into serious issues, although I think it built a bad reputation in the past resulting in it being ignored as a brand to consider to buy from :D Brands like Asus, Gigabyte or MSi have built good reputations, but not to say that you won't run into problems such as a DOA card or factory defects. Bottom line choose what fits your budget remember a Gaming PC's heart is the GPU you spend most of your budget there, so get the best one you can afford.

If u dont trust the brand, u can always look at asus, msi , or evga. they dont cost much more

Palit are the largest GPU manufacturer in the world by volume and generally review pretty well...

IIRC Galaxy and Gainward are a couple of the brands the cover, definitely not new to the game ;)

Never had one, but i dont see why it should be worse than others. Gigabyte has a good reputation and look how much problems the G1 has.

They're fine, just lower build quality than others.

And where is the Proof to this Statement?

They are a fine brand. They just don't sell much in the western market. You'll have about 3-2 years warranty in your country.

I own two palit jetstream 970's. No complaints at all. Solid build quality, they just don't spend loads on aesthetics like ASUS or gigabyte. Stock coolers were very effective but not the quietist (although in SLI in my rig they heated up much more than a single one would)

MY RIG- I call it the millennium falcon “she doesn’t look like much but she’s got it where it counts kid”

CoolerMaster HAFX, ASUS Maximus Ranger vii, Intel i-5 4690k @4.5Ghz, 16GB RAM, Reference GTX1080, 480GB SSD, Corsair RM850W. . Cooling- Corsair H60 w Noctua NF-F12, EK DBay res/pump combo, EK-FC1080FE block, 360mm radiator, 3x Noctua industrial 2000rpm fans. . Displays- LGOLED55B7V, ACER KG241. Peripherals- Corsair M65, Roccat RYOS MK-PRO, Logitech G633, Logitech G920

practically they are OEM manufacturer, they don't make product for retail on massive amounts.

just like foxcoon, Gigabyte, Dell, Lenovo, and apple use them.

MSI, Zotac, and Galaxy often use their product and rebrand it.

it might not popular, but if there's no other choice why not.

Actually they make products for retail on massive amounts, they just don't sell them outside of Asia and Europe.

Also galaxy is a brand which is owned by Palit.
