Valve is testing a new version of its Steam gaming platform for TVs. The UI is also clearly targeting 16:9 TVs above all else, as it shows black bars on my 1920 x 1200 monitors. But it’s clear Valve is thinking hard about how to make PC gaming easier from the couch, and hopefully the issues will be ironed out in time for the Steam Controller’s launch.

 

It will be good for HTPC

Imagine this coming integrated with the TV.. It will mark the end of consoles..

And I thought TV's where expensive enough. If they need the hardware for games then they surely will rise in price?

I have most of the games that I want so that's no big problem. Not for me at least.

But then again, I wouldn't buy a "Steam-ready-tv".
