Telus is pretty good. Switched to Telus from Rogers (Rogers is utter shit, dont switch to them) a little over a year ago and no complaints. Prices are pretty competitive, and network speeds are great! Plus I get service coverage everywhere I go.

I use Wind. The data speeds are inconstant but acceptable as I can stream 720p youtube on data. I got my plan a while ago with unlimited call/text and 5gb full speed data for $35 a month. For my use, coverage is a non-issue.

Keep in mind that I buy all of my phones unlocked and save over time with a cheaper plan. If up front cost is a problem, go with another carrier. You will however be ripped off in the longer because they (other carriers) charge insane amounts of money.

Wind is ok if you spend most of your life where there network is, it's amazing if you can snag a deal on one of there plans with absurd amounts of data for cheap when they go on sale, but that almost never happens anymore.

The website says I have coverage with partner networks. Would that work?

That's their fancy word for roaming charges so no.

Hey that's exactly what I did, I got the same plan as you too.

Yes, the coverage is roaming. If you are in the Vancouver area in BC or near another major city in another province, coverage is mostly their network in more popular areas and other networks in other areas. You do get charged for roaming, but you also get an amount of money put towards said charges depending on what plan you get and if or if not you get your device unlocked. I got $150 and it has lasted for a really long time.

Telus has some awesome prepaid plans if you are going that direction.

As far as I know if you want a full fledged plan with everything, wind has some good deals.

From what I have seen, prepaid is almost the same throughout all carriers (except Wind).

I like speed and reliability, so I'm with Telus with those reasons.

Done with the contract and just pay monthly now, upgraded to a 1+ 1 so I wouldn't need to change anything until needed.

$60 Unlimited nation wide calling, text and 3gb of data. Definitely not the cheapest, but fast and reliable since I travel often.

I have always found Telus to the better carry for Western Canada, but not the best bang for you buck carrier. Presently I use FIDO as I own my phone outright and so they were offering some good deals when I signed up plus they have extended coverage leeching off other networks so I'm rarely ever out of range but they don't like you using a lot of data on the extended networks. And whenever FIDO or another carrier offers up a better deal I go for it because I don't have a contract.
