[lenovo g470 laptop] accidentally disable gpu in bios.

Arkosh

Hi guys. My laptop lenovo G470 boot up but no display. This occur after i disable my integrated gpu and enable the pcie gpu that i connect using exp gdc beast. But, when it reboot, the laptop wont show any display and i dont hear any windows startup that i usually heard. The status LED also not blinking as it used to be. It just light up as i power up but disappeared in second. Also, when i press any button, beep sound came out. Its like a piano except same sound is produce. The step i already done:

1) unplug all battery n power, press the on button for 60seconds for 5times. Failed

2) take out the RAM and test one by one. Even use my friend's RAM. Failed

3) use other display. Failed

4) my last attempt, reset cmos. I taken out the cmos battery for 1hour and put back. Failed

Is this the end of my laptop?

I'm sure the removal of the CMOS will reset BIOS, you have to remove it for 30 secs not a remove and put back in instantly.

Try contacting lenovo about it, see if they might have a solution.

It's possible they will help, though its also possible they'll basically say "Pay us $200 to find out what the issue is, then another $400 to fix it, or you can fuck yourself" lol (I doubt prices would be that high in reality tho)

Yeah true, it's to better buy new laptop if that case. If motherboard is toasted. Well this laptop is done.

to me that looks like a bios password has been set..and it won't let you do anything till the password is put in

did you accidently set any kind of password?

I'm sure they'd have some "secret" way to reset the bios settings.

Try this: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/migr-52235 No clue if it will work, or if your laptop even has cmos jumpers in it (I doubt that it does), but the general idea of the guide might help :/
