Worst Computer Brand Ever

Go to solution Solved by railfan,

hp for same reasons

Definitely Toshiba.

My parents' company used to use those for all their employees and it is incredible how fast a laptop can become slow. Those things would be loose half their speed within a couple of months!!

Also one of them had a WiFi switch on the bottom of the laptop which caused the employees to turn it off on accident and call me every week about their WiFi not working -.-".

EDIT:

Oh and don't even get me started about the amount of f***ing crap they fill them with.

Acer makes good high-end stuff. I have an Acer V Nitro. Very nice laptop.

Sony when they still owned Vaio. Omg a laggy pos from day one. I didn't know a 1st gen i5 and  4gb of ram could be so slow. The bloatware was pretty bad too.

I've only had problems with Toshibas, Dells, and Alienwares.  I never had problems with HPs.  I don't get the hate for HP at all as their products always served me well.  I think the biggest turd company ever = Emachines and all the other crap department store offbrands.

HP has a lovely high end. you're over paying a bit. (quite) but its nice.

their mid-range is nice. wouldnt say i'd want it.

their low-end.... *sigh* i... nevermind. *continues drinking my mead i poured in the experiences with non techies forum*

Ive mad one for 170 with a embedded CPU

ive made 120$ using the AM1 platform, and integrated PSU (checked for stability at lower power, considering AM1 chips have a max wattage of 25w)

using an SSD too. if you're okay with only 64 gigs of storage. (which for an HTPC/console gaming im fine with. all the games i play with controller are sub-8gig. )

Headphones I bough years ago before I knew better. The deathadder is a good mouse and I really like it, it is the most comfortable mouse for me. And the Blackwidow Chroma, because they don't make the K70RGB with MX blues

From what I've owned or used with the most recent being my lattitude e7440.

hp-unreliable, awful battery life, awful designs except for the new omen.

dell-awful battery life, rather lacklusther build quality, awful trackpad

asus- poor battery life, awful trackpad

lenovo- poor battery life, easily overheats, poor build quality

toshiba- poor build quality, bad battery life

compaq- heavy, largely plastic construction

Is it possible that this is based on battery tech that is awful? Rather than the laptop companies themselves? Also that is larger based on model. lenovo w540 with an i7 4930mq runs at almost 100% 8+ hours a day rendering and encoding. Not a single overheating problem...

I love and have had no problems with any of my razer products. Maybe it's you.

The television scam called the "V2Premier"

"For the low low price of $2000 you get a blazing fast computer with

a pentium 4 and 512mb of ram! And firewire ports too!"

This was from 2005 , but STILL, I bought a compaq with a 2.0ghz athlon and 512mb ram in 2003 for $500. The althon destroys a pentuim.

ahh... The good old days when AMD was better than intel...

HP is the WORST. They have the worst build quality in their laptops. It is very annoying.

i can confirm that HP laptops suck. The one I had was not cheap and it got so hot you could probably fry an egg on it. Constant blue screens. Chassis practically fell apart after two years of use

I hate dell. At least these things:

I worked as an IT for a while and these damn things never worked.  VRM capacitors are a crappy brand, they always exploded, the thermals were awful, there was like no air flow and the HDDs cooked, power supplies were loud and never lasted, the cases felt cheap and horrible and well, they sucked.

That's true for pre-builts not custom made to precise specs and quality.

Well, for websites like CyberPowerPC and iBuyPower where you get to kinda customize it is ok. But "gaming computers" you may find at Best Buy might be overpriced with horrible specs.

Also, congrats on 9,000 posts? :D
