Zotac GTX 980 Ti AMP! Extreme edition

Go to solution Solved by Praesi,

I own the amp!extreme since Day one and testet it in 1440p with every demanding Game and Benchmark to the Limits..

Dont know what issues you mean, but you should listen to People who know and not just believe ;)

Zotac´s 980Ti´s are high quality builds. My Example has zero coil whine, max Temps are 72° and the most important, it´s extreme fast. Only the Lightning almost reach its speed.

Hi!

I am going to be ordering new parts for a gaming pc soon and this graphics card caught my attention... It's around the same price as most of the other 980 Ti's here, so with its impressive specs and benchmarks it seems like a good choice.

The only reason why I am not completely sold on it is because I heard some people had had issues with coil whine (which I am ok with unless it's completely ridiculous), and on top of that I heard the GTX 980 AMP! Extreme edition had some issues.

So is there anyone who has any experience with this particular graphics card or maybe some previous amp extreme editions by Zotac? I would like to hear some opinions from people who've owned it for a while. Thanks.

I'd rather a Lightning over the Amp extreme, I believe it's only a tiny bit extra & the cooler as well as the card is just better.

Not sure if it's on sale yet though.

You are the man, that's exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thank you so much for the help! Probably going to order the parts tomorrow from Germany :)

The lightning is nice and all but it's also over a hundred euros more expensive than the Zotac... So it's not really an option, thanks for the recommendation though :)
