Now before I fly this thing I have to wait for my carbon fiber gimbel protector 'cause I don't want to screw this up.

Make your own more fun that way: one of these: http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__45180__Hobbyking_S650_Glass_Fiber_Hexcopter_Frame_655mm_UK_Warehouse_.html

A cc3d flight controller.

yeah its a $200 portable surveillance camera set from uniden with a battery powered camera and screen

no wires, long battery, night vision, and recording options

but its not great, the framerate is horrible and there is a ton of lag

the new tracked vehicle im designing will use a proper fpv system made for RC

I have found some very high powered transmitters for a great price on hobbyking.com

kits cost less than $100

the high powered system I will put on the new tracked vehicle will cost about $450

but thats because im going all out (pan tilt system, fast servos, large screen, etc...)

you would have good enough quality with a sub-$100 system from hobbyking :)

Will look into it, sadly England isn't great when it comes to the weather it's been raining ALOT recently and I haven't had time to fly. I've been looking at a video on youtube and they seem to have a good setup on banggood.

Just need googles tho, I want some fatshark ones but they're ridiculous, hopefully I can use something like the oculus or the vive(not sure which one I'm going to get) for FPV monitor, that would be truly awesome.

Need to get some video, I'm intrigued. I have a nitro car:

but I forgot to clean it out after use and the fuel inside the engine has become almost like toffee or something of that consistency. Should probably fix it some time...

200mw is not a lot...

the system I am looking to get is 1500mw

also 900MHz instead of 5.8G because lower frequencies work way better when there is stuff in the way like buildings, walls, trees, etc..

200mW is just fine for a small quad isn't it? Do you know if all cameras are 30FPS? because I've been looking and all I can seem to find are 30FPS ones...

if youre flying it in line of sight and within a few hundred meters 200mw should be fine

and yeah pretty much all cameras are 30fps, i havent seen any high framerate ones, that would double the necessary data transmitted

Well if some are running at >1080p res and running at 30FPS surely you could decrease the res and increase the frame rate? Or does it not work like that?

well for 60fps you would need half the resolution of 1080p, which would be like 480p or something around that

and 30fps i enough for fpv, people care more about resolution and latency than getting double framerate
