Need help with my first pc build

Hi guys,

I need some help with my first build. I want to use it mainly for gaming and some for schoolwork.

In my time off I program a bit and also do some webdesign and app development.

So the pc has to be usable for al the above.

I did some research myself and this is what I came up with:

  • Case: corsair graphite 230t grey
  • Motherboard: Asus z97 pro gamer
  • RAM: kingston hyperx fury 16gb
  • CPU: intel core i7 4790k
  • Storage: samsung 500gb ssd and a 2TB western digital red
  • Power supply: corsair CS650M

I am still looking for a GPU. I was thinking about the Asus Strix Radeon R7.

Right now my total cost for the build is €1166,92 and have a budget from around €1500.

So the max cost for the GPU can be around €350

What do you guys think? Is this doable? Or do I need to change something about the build.

Thanks!

get an i5 4690k because it's cheaper and you won't notice any improvements in gaming with the i7

get a normall wd blue or seagate 2tb drive. it's not worth to pay extra for the wd red drive

and i'd also get another psu from evga or seasonic

Get a i5 instead you really don't need a i7 and don't get a CS PSU get something better from EVGA or XFX or Seasonic

Also get a better case with that money and just get a standard WD Blue or Seagate HDD

Insert Obligatory dont use Corsair CX series...

Also get an 850 Evo; Unless you are a seriously heavy disk IO user the EVO is fine.
