GTX 970 SLI with GTX 760 or 970 stand-alone

Enderzmanz

Recently on this forum I asked if I should get a new GPU or a aftermarket cooler for my current GPU, I was suggested to get a new GPU while selling my current one... since I short on money I have decided that I would rather wait and have a go later and forget about selling my old GPU. Should I SLI the 980 with the 970 or just go ahead and sell it.. It also brings up a problem where I would need a better power supply that can supply both of my GPU's ( or do I just power one of them?) I am not very sure on what to do so any help would be great!!

You can't sli the 970 with the 760 either.

The 970 will only sli with  a 970.

You can't SLI different cards (i.e. it has to be a 970 with a 970, 980 with 980, etc.). It would also be hard to recommend PSUs not knowing exactly what GPU setup you're looking at along with the rest of your specs.
