High Power HTPC Build Help - Lay your knowledge upon me peeps!

Hello you fantastic individuals!

Would you mind helping me decide on a beauty of a HTPC gaming / CAD rig?

Here's what I have so far:

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4GHz LGA1151 Processor BX80662I76700K
MOBO: MSI Z170A Krait Gaming LGA 1151 ATX Motherboard
RAM: Kingston 8GB (2X4GB) Fury HX424C15FBK2/8 DDR4 2400MHz Black Memory
SSD: Kingston 240GB SSDNowV300 Series 2.5 Inch SATA3 SSD SV300S37A/240G
CASE: Silverstone Grandia GD09 Black ATX Desktop Chassis (USB3.0)
PSU: Silverstone ST55F-G 550W Strider Gold Power Supply
WIFI ADAPTOR: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Wireless N Dual Band Adapter IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n PCI Express x1 Up to 450Mbps Wireless Data Rates WPA2- TL-WDN4800
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64Bit OEM DVD
GPU: ASUS Radeon R9 390X 8GB DC2 Graphic Card R9390X-DC2-8GD5
COOLER: Noctua NH-D15 Multi Socket PWM CPU Cooler

Few points that i'm keen for:
  • Trying to keep the whole build around the 2000 AUD mark.
  • Keen for some sexy computing power as I do a touch of parallel programming.
  • CAD skillz are hectic so want to be able to keep that going.
  • Not tied to any individual components although I do like the LGA1151 socket (nice and new, seems like a good idea to me :P )

Lend me your knowledge!

Thankyou  :D

don't bother calling this a HTPC build

you should just be asking for a CAD build

cause the only diff with this is having a videocard with hdmi out and a htpc keyboard....

HTPC's are generally small cheap pc's not monster rigs

Ah righto, calling it HTPC as that is the form factor as defined by the case :) Any thoughts on the components?
