looking at this laptop for starting university this month http://goo.gl/Ku9vq1

 

used for:

word processing

adobe suite

light gaming

 

what do you guys think would you recommend this or maybe an alternative? budget is £900. and i want to keep it fairly light weight for carrying around all day

It's a nice laptop. Either way, if you don't need the 2 in 1, you should get a normal one with the same specs (cheaper) or better specs (same price).

This should do you fine, just be careful and don't drop it, it is rather fragile especially the screen. I have a classmate who dropped hers, the display didn't work after that.
