Hey guys,

I was wondering how much GB should I partition for my Windows 10 on my 1.2TB Intel 750 Series NVMe?

60gb is enough. I think windows only uses 10-15gb i think. could be wrong tho

why are you partitioning it...

just use it as a single drive

60GB is enough, but if you want to be in the safe sides, and not to have to worry about space, even after numerous Windows updates over the years, and such, make it 100GB.

Are you dual booting or something? If not, just use the whole thing.

Make re-installs faster and easier. Not have to break your head about backupping your Document, Music, etc.. as it will be in the D:\ partition, and not C:\ Not to mention games, which are a pain to backup due to their size.

Also, in case of emergency, most programs can run without being installed. So if you need your system up and running asap, and you re-install Windows, you can run most program just fine, by running their executables, as you install your programs in D:\

Then you are an IDIOT... 

I can bet $100 that you'll have suicidal thoughts in next 18, maximum 24 months- someday in near feature you'll need to reinstall your Windows and than ALL DATA from that 1.2TB drive (it's not partitioned- you remember) will be deleted, lost, gone... And I can bet another $1000 that there will be UNreplasable data... Wish you good luck (you'll needed) with a not partitioned drive...

Backup? OK, but on a whole 1.2TB drive? Why to do such dumb things?

It's somewhere around 10 times easier just to make 100, or even 200GB partition for OS + all programs and games. After that I'll make regular (each week) backups of that 100-200GB partition (I use 9-year old 240GB HDD from a salvaged laptop for backups)  and every time when I need to reinstall I get my system 100% as it was (with all important files, programs and settings) in no more than 1,5 hours... 

English is not my maternal language, so don't mind my mistakes...
