Ultrawide vs 4K - Framerate perfomance, who wins?

DannyDem
Go to solution Solved by Glenwing,

As the title says who wins between 4K and ultrawide resolutions (2560x1080 & 3440x1440)

Just multiply the numbers out. More total pixels = more difficult to drive.

1920x1080 = 2,073,600

2560x1080 = 2,764,800

2560x1440 = 3,686,400

3440x1440 = 4,953,600

3840x2160 = 8,294,400

As the title says who wins between 4K and ultrawide resolutions (2560x1080 & 3440x1440)

4k by anywhere from twice as much, to 4 times as much.

If you're a snob about maintaining constant 60fps, don't buy 4k. Simply put, you will not be able to hold 60fps on 4k unless you spend all the money on that gpu setup. I don't even hold 60fps solid with my $700 graphics card.

You will go ultrawide and spend more on a screen that has less. 1440p is the biggest rip off out there so over priced! LG 27MU67-B owner! and love it

2560x1080 ---- 3440x1440 ------------------------------4K

in that order

No shit. Less pixels = better performance

You forgot 320x180 displays > ALL

Open your eyes and break your chains. Console peasantry is just a state of mind.
