ty ty, Saw the sale from superbizz and thought I'd see what I could do with it. The build does not include Mail in Rebates either. :)

I would swap the 950 out for a 280.

I'm not saying I wouldn't, but I'm more of not saying I would.

I think if I was going to be worried about performance that much from my GPU, I'd just scrapyard it.

Close, but it misses the mark. You're at $614 without Mail in Rebates.

$582 is only after including Mail in Rebates, and it doesn't have Mouse/Keyboard.

yes slightly over 600 without promos... but promos are atleast more reliable then rebates... :|

also, just for lulz.... But the Nepton 240m is so silent, even with medium fan-speed. that i would actually use it for home-theatre setups.... So you can OC that FX pretty nicely... atleast to 4.3 GHz.

Right, it's a console replacement. One of the cool things about consoles is you can not only play online with mates but come over to the same house and play together. Should getting a PC sacrifice this? Absolutely not. Small form factor time. Like, put it in a backpack with a keyboard and mouse small.

looks good, I like the 380, it's better than the 950 i picked.

you also kept the PSU modular, which is nice, CX brand... idk if id trust it. :D

If you're replacing a console, you are going to need hardware. Keyboard/Mouse. your build doesn't include it unfortunately.

when I click the link to check the parts out, the cost is actually over $600 as well. don't know what's happening.

I definitely think if someone wanted to keep it small they could though.

CX is known to have issues if ambient temps gets too high, because then they cannot cool themselves....

the cut-off limit is 40 degrees CELCIUS ambient temp before it struggles...

If your room or case ambient air temp is 40 degrees C, then you should seriously take measures to remedy this, either through case airflow or an aircon.

Alrighty. Changing some things around... swapping the PSU for a fully modular seasonic 520W one here:

4GB R9 380 option: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fPyyP6 - it's under a dollar over $600 though so below there's a...

2GB R9 380 option: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/t4FxJx - with a 120mm AIO because I had no idea what to spend $45 on, an awful SSD?
