XFX 550w PSU with R9 390?

Hello everyone. Recently I've been looking into new graphics cards that I may want to upgrade to in the future and by far the one I am most interested in is the R9 390. The problem is that I am unsure of how much power this card really needs and if I really have to buy a new PSU. Eventually I will have to upgrade my PSU but I really want to use it as long as possible before having to get a new one. So the question I have is whether or not my XFX 550w 80+ bronze certified ATX power supply will be able to satisfy the needs of the r9 390. I've looked it up myself and many people say that it does work but others say that it won't. I'm not looking to overclock any time soon and will most likely buy a new PSU before I even slightly start overclocking, for both my CPU and GPU.

EDIT: So I ended up getting the MSI R9 390, and in case anyone else is interested, it definitely works. I ran the Heaven 4.0 benchmark and it worked perfectly with no problem with my XFX 550w psu. So if you have a good tier 2 or tier 1 psu you will be fine with it as long as you don't have a power hungry cpu.

You will definitly not need a new PSU.

Your system shoulnd't even reach 400watts as long as it isn't overclocked.

Any single GPU setup is good on any 550w psu, XFX being a Eeasonic re-brand I have no doubt you'll be well off.

The 390 pulls less than 300W, your CPU pulls less than 60W, the rest of the system less than 50W. You'd be hard-pressed to break 400W combined draw, so that power supply is fine.

It will work just fine even with a moderate OC.

Wow. Honestly I am very surprised by how fast I got replies not even just one or two but 5 in just a matter of minutes thank you all so much. Now before I forget and have to make another thread I was wondering if I were to upgrade to a i5 4690k with no overclock will the PSU work as well?

Yes it will still work with both a stock 4690k and a 390.

It should work, and that CPU upgrade will be needed eventually
