Programs automatically installing inside program files/program files 86 on SSD

Usually installers lets you choose the directory you wish the program to be placed.

does it redirect the installer or move the program?

Which apps in question are you having trouble installing elsewhere? To my knowledge, all programs should have the option to choose install location.

yes they USUALLY do, but some don't

Doubt but whatever. Symbolic links are only option but like said, not really worth it.

ok, I guess I need to switch (since I use chrome on my SSD)

Chrome is both CPU and RAM heavy. SSD only speeds up reading and writing to disk, browsers do those rarely so I doubt it makes that big difference.
