Well whit those speeds it would be the same maybe lower ping but the speeds would be like 25/2

so: i did this test http://www.speedtest.net/nl/ and yes im dutch, and the speeds are 20 mbps down/ 2mbps up and a ping of 22 ms, im planning on getting wired asap, but will that make a big difference (im using wifi right now)

 

(i am wanting to maybe start streaming, and i game quite alot)

depending on how good of a router you have will determine how much of an increase you see

ok, so if i want to improve it i need to get a 'better internet provider thingy'?

 

and will it be ok for streaming? (if you have any knowledge about that)

The 2mbps upload would be pretty bad maybe just and just 720p 30fps streaming would work.

You need to get better connection from ur isp if it's possible.

Ping will probably get better, speeds might too and it will probably more stable

If your ISP provided speed is as same as 20mbps down/2 down, then probably you'll get the same on wired n/w too.

 

May be it'll bump :D who knows.

 

But definitely you can see improvements on PING.

10 Mbps upload is really preferred. Also wiring will stop packet loss and might decrease ping by a few ms.

which is, his subscription package, if 20/2 is what he paid for, then going wired won't make any differences.

wired doesn't have an affect on ping for me, priority of the connection? yes, the op never said what the speed of his connection is, the wireless might be shit and wired could double his speeds, but it depends on what his provider gives him.
