Setting a Sony Smart Watch up - without android

I won a Smart Watch 3 by Sony in a competition and I want to set it up, just to tell the time, but I don't have an android phone, so as far as I can tell its useless to me since I have an iphone. Is there anyway I can get around this? Can I pair it to a friends phone set it up then unpair it?

You should give it to me instead! Haha. I am sure you can set it up without pairing to an android device. I can manually set the time on my Gear 2 without my phone.

There has also been rumours that android wear support will be brought to ios in the near future via Google.
