Would it be worth it to buy a TV tuner card?

Finn the Potato

I mean I think it would be okay as I do like TV, but what if I want to play a game and watch TV at the same time. P.S My little sister always is watching movies on our TV so our TV is not an option.

I bought 1 when I didn't have the money or room for a TV.

It worked great with windows media centre. (windows 7)

I could record to my hdd and it had an fm radio as well.

I think it was a hauppauge 2200 or 2100 or something

it was a pci-e card

I use a Kaiser Baas TV Stick (about US$38 or so) for getting TV on my computer, seems to work pretty nice.

Pretty good option if you're on a budget.

I use a software based tv tuner called torrents. I can have any show/movie available 24/7.

Those have couple drawbacks. Main one being illegality. And that you need fairly good internet. They don't support live sport events etc.

I got Anysee USB card and DVBViewer to run it.

It isn't illegal if you already pay for cable. ;)
