Can the gtx 980 handle 4k

cadabri
Go to solution Solved by TheGeeker,

it will max 1080p. it will run 4k not games but you can edit in 4k and be fine.

What do you mean

Basically, the computer is under 4 times the stress when rendering 4k as opposed to 1920x1080. This is because there's 4 times the amount of pixels being displayed. The human eye can't really tell a difference unless your screen is the size of a movie theater

Performance expert, building noob.

There is no such thing as excess in hardware.

The 980 isnt powerfull enough to handle Games in 4k with good Framerates. And you have to lower Settings, which is a no go for me. 4k YT Videos should work fine though, but thats nothing i care about. 1440p is my Favorite Resolution.

Yes, That is true, But one, With video that means for a certain scene you can crop more with less distortion, and two, with TVs getting larger eventually we will have an average 60 inch tv and that will probably make a difference (I personally think we will have less and less cable boxes and consoles)

Yeah, I understand that, but I wasnt sure if he was talking about recording 4k, or playing 4k
