Any 1440p Recommendations?

So, I plan on upgrading my computer within the next year from my crappy Integrated Graphics to an R9 390. Right now, I use an LG 25UM57 ultrawide 1080p monitor. It works very for well for now, but I'm looking for something better.

I'm looking for a 1440p monitor below $425. It should have at most a 7ms response time. Also, refresh rate isn't really a big deal, as long it is possible to overclock the monitor. Any suggestions?

Edit: I'm probably going to keep my 1080p and use it for gaming every now and then in a dual monitor setup.

Don't be fooled by the bottom line of my sig, that is just for my travels.

So you're telling me that Gaben is no God? Enough of your foolishness.

My hardware you ask? I'm using a Dell Inspiron 3217 Notebook... With an LG 25UM57.

Well the ROG SWIFT is great but not for that price.

Found these to be well recommended in your price range:

I would look at some Korean monitors especially at that price range and for proper overclocking capabilities.

Dream-seller and green-sum on ebay have a large selection and are both very reliable.

Not really, a lot of people complain about the ROG Swift about a lot of things. DOA, bleedings, dead pixels, etc... Not to mention the price is outrageous for a TN panel,

I would go for the Acer XB270HU even tho it doesn't have as much bling as the Swift, it's cheaper and got an IPS panel.

I do agree with your points about the Swift but it is said to be the best.  The BenQ BL2420PT also has some neat bling but probably over the budget.

To most of you, I already know I won't get that great of a refresh rate and I'm fine with that. I don't care if it's >60Hz.

Edit: It's not a set budget, just an estimate. I'll probably stretch to about $500 or so

The Dell U2515H is a very nice, colour accurate ips monitor. Not so much gaming orientated, with 60Hz and a 6ms response time, but for everything else it is a very, very nice monitor.

You can stop mentioning the Rog Swift.

A vastly better quality panel with the same specs has been released at the same price = acer xb270hu.

Recommending the swift is doing a disservice to someone really. But i dont blame you - the acer is new and the rog swift was the king for a very long time.

@op

Sell what you have now, get 600$ together and get the asus mg279q = its a 1440p, 27", 144hz IPS screen. Forget gsync/freesync. A 144hz IPS will blow your mind pretty hard either way.
