Should I Switch To PS4 From Xbox One?

Help! I'm not sure if I should switch to PS4 or keep my Xbox One (and maybe get a PC). I want PS4 because: (1) PS4 has better graphics, (2) Rocket League, (3) It's COD and Destiny's preferred platform, (4) I have friends on PS4. I might keep Xbox One because (1) I already have games and Xbox Live on it, (2) Kerbal Space Program, (3) Cities: Skylines, and (4) because I have more friends on Xbox One. I've thought about just getting both, but I can't afford it. I only have $350, so a PC (with 6% tax) would probably be no competition for the PS4 (or the Xbox One, for that matter); also, the (all-in-one with an Intel Pentium G2030T) PC I already have can play a lot of the games I want to play, with the exception of Rocket League, Cities: Skylines, and Kerbal Space Program. Thanks for any help!

I dunno switching over consoles isn't really a big deal but if can get a good trade or sell on the Xbox then go for but then again you could sell the Xbox One and get a PC if that adds onto the $350

PC Beats PS4 and Xbone HANDS DOWN.

With that budget, don't get a Pentium, Get an APU!

PS4 is better, but it'd be better if you switched to PC.

Also, could anyone please link PC builds that are at or under $350 (plus 6% tax) that rival PS4?

Probably won't get a very good one.  A computer could be build for that price, but..

Would the [build] quality of the components be better than what Sony tossed in the PS4?  Probably not.

Would it come with an OS (Windows)? Probably not.  If some one says reuse a license or pirate one, they can F off.

Reliable wifi and power supply? Probably not.

A controller (or mouse/keyboard) that's not garbage?  Not likely.

A FN sexy and slim case even close to as good looking as the PS4?  Not on your life.

Plug-n-play, no installation, building, or troubleshooting?  Also not likely.

I completely understand that a computer *can absolutely* be better than a console, but in the price range of the PS4, no.

Remember that some PC Master Race'ers troll this Console Gaming section and don't want to help people make decisions with the options they've presented.

One huge reason I see that you should get a PS4 is that you have friends on it.  Plus, you yourself stated that you have a computer already that does what you want it to do.

If Graphics matter most to you then build a PC. Are there more games that you would spend more time with your friends playing on PS4 than Xbox One? if yes then switch, if not then stick with Xbox One

You need to determine if you rather play with those fewer friends on PS4 or more friends on Xbox One. If your closer friends are on PS4 then I say go for a PS4. My opinion is that, if you are going to choose between the two consoles, choose to play where the better or more friends are and also account for where the games you like are. You'll have a much better time. Rocket League MAY come to Xbox One, from the articles I'm seeing but you may have to wait a long time. I wouldn't let the weaker graphics be a strong reason for switching. Both console look great, you aren't going to notice much of a difference unless you are directly comparing the two. In regards to COD and Destiny, the only thing special is that DLC will come out on PS4 first, so you need to consider who you would enjoy playing those games with more and if getting the DLC early is more important to you then playing with friends that you might enjoy playing with more.

PC's are better but as someone who has a gaming rig and a ps4... go with a console. Sure with that budget you could get something that is slightly better than a ps4/xone but to be honest a pc with that budget would be outdated in less than 2 years while consoles will keep up until the generation ends with tons of optimization and what not (look at the graphics from the end of last generation like the last of us, beyond two souls....)

Now which console. well... honestly I prefer the ps4 because I like JRPG's and it's a superior console in terms of specifications. Unless you're into halo or gears of war, I would go with the ps4. Most exclusives are better but that's just my opinion

Save money and build a decent pc! You can build a very good pc for 800 bucks that will crush games for a while! There is such a small diff in PS4 and Xbox that switching to the other is just silly be patient, save your money, and build a pc! Then when you want to play console jump on you Xbox 1 then switch to your pc when you want to play it! But its really up to you and your needs!

I have both. DO NOT BUY AN XBOX ONE. They’re both underpowered, but the Xbox One can't even use its own party system as it constantly has problems. The UI and menus are so slow and when playing games my friends and I, we all have open NAT type, can't even get into the same game. It is horrible. I'm not the only one with these problems. Just ask anyone with an Xbox One. The 360 was so much better in those social aspects and functioned almost perfectly, besides for it having outdated hardware. The PlayStation 4 is better because it can get into games and it all works as advertised, but you should just get a PC.
