Interview with Jason from corsair on the new Strafe RGB and Scimitar RGB

Strafe = crappy plastic, not Corsair worthy

I agree. I wonder how long it will be until something more Corsair worthy like the K70 is released with MX Silents?

It does have an aluminium support plate. Also, please explain why people care about the quality of material? Plastic is still plenty good enough for sitting on your desk, I really do not understand the love of aluminium in keyboards.

Of course its plastic. Its supposed to be a cheaper alternative to the K-series. Nothing wrong with that. There are plenty of different plastics out there. Metal does not automatically mean better either.

For the same reason people like metal phones over plastic. It feels heavier and better built and like blowing over £100 on a keyboard was worth it.

It's because it's looks and feels like a quality product. I just want an updated K65/K70/K95 RGB lineup with the K65 also being available in Europe and not only at Best Buy in the US.

- Silent switches

- Better and stronger backlighting

- Easier software

- More media buttons?

K65 is available in Europe. Its Best Buy exclusive in US only. Everywhere else anyone can sell them.

All I want from Cherry is an MX Black-silent switch in a Corsair k65 or Strafe TKL.  That would be swell.  Would probably be my last Cherry switch, though.  Gaterons and Topre from here on out.

Can't you get some O-rings?

I have never liked O-rings unless they're the factory dental banded like in Topre, but for Cherry MX from what I understand, the Silent-switch makes the feel change, and it isn't like O-rings, but more like a padding at the bottom, not around, so it is a different feel.  I want that but not in the 45g actuation.  60g, 62g, 65g, 67/68g or higher is the best.  Personally.

It is not cheaper though. They are just trying to phase out the high quality products while charging the same or more.

If it's not broken, take it apart and fix it.
