It's using Razer green switches, which are their equivalent to Cherry MX Blues. So if you're okay with a non Cherry switches, then for $60, it's a pretty good deal.

I think I may just pick one up. How are blue switches?

It comes down to personal taste. Have you used any mechanical switches?

/blue's are clicky tactile switches (so comparatively loud).

Which did you use/did you like it?

I used the mx reds on a corsair k70 RGB, I liked them, I use a membrane switch from an old compaq keyboard, I use it because I like the feeling of the switch, I do not know if that will compare

As an owner I actually have mixed feelings.

I do love this keyboard but it has some awkward quirks, like when I'm in a chat and I'm typing more casual like, the keyboard likes to double-tap the W key for whatever reason. When I get into real typing like filling out a report or making a forum post, the problem isn't as consistent or even there. The binds are pretty cool though, I have them configured to spam entire messages while in-game.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

I paid $110 for this keyboard about 8 months ago as my very first mechanical keyboard. I like it although it's on the loud side, might do an O ring mod in the future. Some weird things though.

- A month after I got it, the A key would register twice about half the time I pushed it. SUPER ANNOYING, but it basically fixed itself after a few days.

- 2 days ago, the stabilizer bar for the enter key popped out of its holder. No big deal, took the key off and put it back in. Just thought I'd mention it.

It's a solid buy in my opinion, it has a load of features.

That's not really a fault of the computer, but rather the green (i.e. blue) switches that are used.

It would if the noise was coming from the key hitting against the backplate.

But there are blues (greens) so much of the noise comes from actual switch

Actually I tested the switches without caps and using caps but not bottoming out and the noise of just the switches is totally tolerable. It's the bottoming out "clank" that annoys me. I don't mind the switch sound on its own, it's not that loud at all compared to the smack of the key against the backplate.

they are still cherry switches, they partnered with them to make it. the only diffrence is a shorter actuation point for faster gaming and I think a slightly lighter keypress

Razer ceased using Cherry MX switches post 2013 products.
