Is this Water Cooler Powerful enough?

Go to solution Solved by Benji_w,

You are very correct. I am fairly certain they did, as my order had to be 'authorized' to be built, but I wanted to check with y'all here to make sure I didn't royally screw up.

If you're buying from a builder they'll test everything to make sure you don't bring it back, because if you do for whatever reason they lose the profit made on the build due to warranty, it's not worth it to them to sell you faulty or inadequate cooling.

Hey guys, I recently purchased a high-end Gaming PC with the following (important) specs:

CAS: Cooler Master HAF Stacker 935 Gaming Case with Top Compartment for Extra m-ITX system, Water Cooling, or Storage Space

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-5930K Six-Core 3.50GHz 15MB Intel Smart Cache LGA2011-V3 (overclocked 20%)

MEMORY: 16GB (4GBx4) DDR4/2800MHz Quad Channel Memory (ADATA XPG Z1)

VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB GDDR5 PCIe 3.0 x16 Video Card (Maxwell)

MOTHERBOARD: MSI X99S GAMING 7 ATX w/Killer GbLAN, 4x Gen3 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1, 1x M.2, 8x SATA 6Gb/s

The only thing I'm concerned with my rig is the CPU cooler, which is a Asetek 550LC 120mm Liquid Cooling CPU Cooler - Extreme Cooling Performance (Single Standard 120MM Fan). Would I be able to run rigorous games such as Witcher 3 on max settings for long periods of time (6-8 hours) without having to worry about my CPU overheating with overclocking? Thanks.

Even with my overclocking?

From the description it looks like you're buying from a builder, they should have tested the overclock and heat output so it should be fine.

Awesome! My friend made me a bit paranoid about my cooling when he said it was sketchy but this has put my concern to rest. Thanks for the help!

I was cooling a heavily overclocked motherboard and cpu with a 240 and a 120 mm rad so I'm sure you'll be okay buddy.
