Help! Computer not booting.

Coaxialgamer

Hello,

So i built my computer a few days ago and everything seemed to be running fine.

My ram is ddr3 2400cl11 ram that was actually running at 1600 cl11.

I tried to run it at 1600 cl9, but the computer wasnt stable at all so i reset cmos and turned everything back to default. I enabled xmp and put the ram at 2400 cl11 at 1.65v (its rated speed and voltage). Now my computer refuses to boot, although the lights on the mobo are on so it is receiving power. When i press the power button nothing happens, whether it is the one on the case or mobo.

I tried removing the battery and it didnt work.

I tried removing and moving ram around but it didn't work.

Any help will be appreciated.

My motherboard is an ecs z77h2 a2x deluxe 2.0

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

Well, as I read the other post you made.

Try what @kameshss said (reseting your bios)

Also, you have one or two sticks of RAM?

If you have more than one, try with one at a time.

Shouldn't really be playing around with XMP settings if you don't know how to properly clear your CMOS...

Instructions in clearing your CMOS should be in your Motherboard Manual. Typically there will be a button on the motherboard or back panel labeled "CLR CMOS". Press and hold that button for around 15 seconds. Some may still use the traditional method of using a jumper to clear the CMOS. Typically that jumper is found near the battery on the motherboard (near the BIOS chip). Again, refer to your manual as some manufactures use different methods to clear the CMOS.

That's not really helpful, while yes, he should of read something before trying, if he doesn't try, how is he going to learn?

Well people should learn the basics before they go into tweaking. That's all. I learned how to root my phones by going through how to restore the OS manually if something does mess up, then going for gold.

I said go into manual to find out how to clear the CMOS and told typically where it's found. I don't have information as to what motherboard he has so that's all we can provide for him as of right now.

Does the computer post after you've cleared it?
