980 Ti or Fury X. Look for benchmarks for both of these in the games that you want to be playing to find out which you should spend your money on.

295x2 is two 290Xs. It's ok, but somewhat superseded by both Nvidia and AMD equalling it in a single GPU card now.

the 295x2 will in games that support crossfire. the 295x2 beat the titan x by alot

in games which arent, the 980 ti

in battlefield 4 and far cry, the 295x2 kills the titan, so the 980 ti is out of the question there

planetside 2 is light and wont matter too much

295x2 GETS MY VOTE

My vote would go to the 980ti as it runs cooler and won't run into issues that the 295x has like Crossfire Support (to some extent)

It will also take less power draw from your PSU and won't hurt the bill as much

Don't expect to play all titles at 4k though as it's still difficult to run games at the highest FPS even with powerful cards

No GPU now can run steady 60 FPS at max setting at 4K newest games

The link you provide doesn't support your conclusion. They clearly go toe to to. Choosing two last gen GPUs in CF over an equivalent modern single GPU is silly -- especially when one of those has a rated TDP of 600W

You just need rebrand because of the cooler and higher clocks then u can try 2 SLI to beat the 4K to the ground and say: I was made for this
