New Titan X Arctic Storm?

OAcesync

So I was just browsing through my local retailer online store and I managed to find this which really surprised me because I've heard no news about it.

It didn't make a lot of sense because why would Zotac release this design later instead of before when the Titan X when relevant and King of Hill but now with the 980Ti there really isn't any point in buying a Titan X apart from bragging rights so why would Zotac make this?

Why would zotac make this, you ask?

Extra Titan X cards and extra reference 980 ti coolers

From reading the overview I understand that this thing has water cooling. I guess if you were gonna try and really push your card (like you would ever need to..) it might come in handy?

I get how great this card is but why didn't Zotac release it earlier then they would have people throwing their money at it.

It would cost more GBP to $ = x1.6(roughly) but then again US always tends to be cheaper when converted to GBP and compared to GBP prices

This is old. They did make this when the Titan X was king of the hill and the 980 Ti hadn't been made. In fact this version of the card potentially makes Titan X the best card again.

Nvidia releases Titan from its Reference Only policy and Zotac is the only company that takes them up on it, it's sad. Would have been nice to see a Titan X Lightning or Gaming G1 or something.

Non-reference Titan O.o

most likely, the PCB is reference - that's the only thing that counts

Same here too! 2-way Titan X's. Also 12GB is going to last for a very long time. I'm also a video game developer major and with Titan GPUs in general with people using it for both gaming and productivity, it can get by for a while. Also with the games I'm going to be developing (AAA games mind you), they'll be on par with Crytek's Crysis trilogy, where their first release (Crysis) was so insanely beautiful, it rendered all the hardware at the time totally unfeasible for the game. For my games, it's a little more laid back so that the highest end hardware at that release is feasible enough to handle them at 1080p.

-Example-

First game VRAM usage (Max Graphics Settings, No AA): 8-10 GB

Best Card at those settings: GeForce GTX Titan X

What does this mean? It means to me a lot, especially that developers can really tap into that amount of VRAM to push the texture quality and models to unprecedented levels never before imagined. Crytek has done it before and they're willing to do it again. Players enjoyed something they never thought possible.
