R.I.P My Krakens...

WolfysTech

I bought Razer Kraken Pro Green's back in feburary and today they died. Audio would go quiet, cut out and fuzz/click alot and many other sounds whilst I'm either listening to music or playing games (CS:GO etc)

I got myself an upgrade thanks to the store as they broke in under the years warranty.

I got another pair of Krakens, Chroma Edition this time. I'm hoping if they'll make me happier than my previous.

Does anyone here have a pair? I've got them on now but want to know what people think of them.

Thanks

I kind of want to try the Krakens but they look horrible IMO IMO IMO

I love my current headphones, wouldn't trade them for anything else but the surround sound version

My Kraken Pro in Black has been serving me well for the past year. Even when I accidentally jammed the cable in between my drawer and bent the hell out of it, it still works pretty well.

I probably should upgrade but it still works so I'm not gonna bother until it really breaks.

My buddy Layne has gone through 2 pair of Krakens and both have died. Not sure, but from what the internet can say it was most likely a short in the wire. His just plain stopped working in the right ear both times though. I am a Turtle Beach user myself, and I will say I've had a short in the wire of 1 of my 3 owned Beaches, so it may be a unfortunately common occurrence.

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

They were my first proper headphones and I loved them, but after a month they started to go abit wrong. And i guess that's your opinion on them, they're nice and simple the chroma with the little light, I like that alot.

Krakens are great. Pretty much everybody in my family (except me) has them, and they work without issue. You probably just got a bad model.

More than likely, and gg to them, They're good headsets, I think mine just went wrong after a while.

Thanks for the feedback, I've also seen alot of good reviews but nice to get some feedback from people who have been using them on a longer term,

I think the cable was shorting out for me, It would go really quiet even on 100% and still do nothing, it would lose all of it's bass, Also the sound would stutter also. My new Chroma versions are alot sweeter and I've fallen in love with them already (No homo towards my krakens, yo)

Not good.

Uncomfortable, bad build quality, bad sound

and their horrendous aesthetics. bright magenta, pink, blue, green. Aimed towards the younger crowd that see the brand and think they must be good for gaming.

A headset not worth buying.

It's actually better than I expected it to be, better quality than my old kraken.
