Computer turning on in the middle of the night.

In the past 2 days, my computer (running windows 10) awakes from sleep in the middle of the night. Today, it woke up at 4 a.m. I got out of bed and put it back to sleep. A few minutes later it turns itself back on. This continues unless I turn it off.  This has happened to me with Windows 7 as well. I shut it down and went to bed. I just now turned it back on. For some reason the windows loading circle was moving in slow motion and looked a bit laggy. After a long time I was finally able to log back on. This has only happened one other time. What's odd is that right now it says its Up time is 17 and a half hours. How is this? Does Up time mean something different?

So you upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 when you had the same problem?

It happens even when you put the computer to Shutdown?

 

Try complete BIOS reset.

I doubt it's corrupt. I had the issue with windows 7 too, and my windows 10 install was a clean install.

It happens when the computer is asleep. 

Check your BIOS, perform a BIOS reset by Jumper method.

 

See if any of your BIOS settings that has to do with USB wakeup or Ethernet wakeup or related to that.

Okay, After that See if any of your BIOS settings that has to do with USB wakeup or Ethernet wakeup or related to that.

From what I've read, "Power on by PME device" is the wake on lan option and mine is disabled.

Did you go through all the settings in the BIOS?

 

I can't see any other possible reasons for this problem.

How about Windows 10 automatic updates? It's very aggressive and will wake a PC from sleep to start installs.

Yes, I went through all of the settings. I might try a bios update if there is one. However the ASUS website seems to be having a few issues so I can't get on the software downloads page right now.

Seems like having some issues. Even Asus Indian website.
