what is the best type of 980 ti?

Don't really know which is the best, but they'll all be pretty much the same performance. I tend to go for brands like EVGA, Gigabyte and Asus for Nvidia cards.

CPU: i5-4690k GPU: 280x Toxic PSU: Coolermaster V750 Motherboard: Z97X-SOC RAM: Ripjaws 1x8 1600mhz Case: Corsair 750D HDD: WD Blue 1TB

FOR A CHEEPER PRICE

Joking mate. :P Also, it's always best to go with a single better GPU than to crossfire or sli GPUs because of the support it gets from games, it doesn't scale well in quite a few games or at least until the drivers come out. Not worth it over a single bad ass GPU. :D

He's kidding. I think :|

^

You think right, sir! :D

Nothing unfortunately, 2-Way SLI 970's perform about the same as a 980ti but costs around the same, same goes for 2-Way Xfire with 290x's

So I should just go for 980 ti?

If you're playing at a high resolution (1440p or 4k) the 295x2 (and as such 2 R9 290X's would outpeform the 980ti):

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_980_Ti_Gaming/14.html

But because of the heat production and the possible problems with SLI/crossfire I think the 980ti is the way to go.

R9 295x2

I have one, its fine, wouldnt suggest overclocking it, cuz I did that, and now it uses 650-700w on its own accord....

Overclocking is fine.  Just watch a few youtube guide videos take your time, go in small increments and watch your temps.  If you don't touch your voltage its very safe indeed.

For your choice of 980ti :

I would go EVGA ACX 2.0 SC+ because of the awesome warranty decent price and good cooling.

depending on where you live an r9 295x2 is much cheaper and more powerful.

however you'll run into crossfire issues and other related things such as poor scaling and micro stuttering.

but in cases that have been optimised as well as having a decent crossfire driver then you'll get better performance.

but a single card is always better. and the 980ti will beat the 295 in most cases.

Is that graphic score only or total?

my OCd 295x2 scores 22038 at graphics alone.......

Dual GPU´s dont count. I rather have no microstutter.
