i5-750 + GTX 960 vs. i7-4790 + R7 265

 

Which system would you get?

I'd probably choose the i7 since it would be a bit easier to just upgrade the GPU later with it.

i7. You can upgrade the GPU later if you have more money...

No upgrade. Think of it that you will keep it for 10 years. For current and future. 

 

No upgrade? Then neither. Both the setups are pretty shitty. One is a CPU bottleneck and one has a low performing gpu.

Even the Q9400 is capable of playing current games with GTX 960 without a problem with medium to high settings. How could you possibly say neither.

How can I say neither? Because both combos are uneven. With no chance of upgrading both these setups will never do well in gaming.
