The Wildcat controller is labeled as tournament grade, and it includes quite a few tweaks to help give an edge. The controller itself is not going to get lost in a room, with some pretty distinct styling, but under the covers is a controller which Razer says is 20% lighter than other tournament grade controllers. It has four mult-function buttons added, and gamers can re-bind any button on the controller.

The analog stick is made of high carbon steel for durability, and the triggers are aircraft-grade aluminum. You can swap out the optional palm grips and analog stick grip caps. All in all, the Wildcat has the following features listed:

  • 2 shoulder Hyperesponse Multi-Function bumpers
  • 2 removable Hyperesponse Multi-Function triggers
  • 4 Hyperesponse ABXY action buttons
  • 4 button Quick Control Panel
  • Optional trigger stops for rapid fire
  • 3.5 mm audio port for stereo audio output and microphone input
  • Optional rubber palm grips
  • Optional analog stick grip caps
  • Carrying case
  • Detachable 3 m / 10 ft. lightweight braided fiber cable with Micro-USB connector
  • Approximate size : 106 mm / 4.17 in. (Length) x 156 mm / 6.14 in. (Width) x 66 mm / 2.60 in. (Height)
  • Approximate weight (without cable) : 260 g / 0.57 lbs

I like that Palm grip's texture :)

The Wildcat controller will be available starting in October for $149.99

In my country this is probably going to cost 190€... Or more....

Yeah, maybe I'll just get a regular Xbox one controller for my PC... Assuming that this thing would even work for PC... It's and Xbox controller, it should work right?

Spoiler

Case Bitfenix Ghost, Mobo Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, CPU i7 6700K @4.2 Ghz cooled by Arctic cooling Freezer i30, (barely). GPU Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 @1519Mhz core, RAM 16Gb Crucial Ballistix CL16 @2400Mhz. SSD 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus as my OS drive. HDD's  1TB  Seagate ST31000524AS its OEM, 3TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x 500GB WDC Blue (RAID 0)

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.

I like it, might go nicely with the supposed Xbox One Mini, couple it with a PS4 and you got full gaming platform support with a neat controller to go along with your Xbox Exclusive titles.

So the replacement for the Sabertooth has finally arrived. I wonder if it can stand up!

I'm so happy that the green side grips are removable because if they are anything like the ones on the sticks in the Sabertooth they are going to wear out stupid fast.

Wait what? $150? Is it at least going to be wireless this time around? They are trying to compete with the Elite Controller which I already think shouldn't exceed $100.

I have an elite controller and steam controller on the way. So I'll likely pre-order this one as well. Should be solid based one the Sabertooth. The hopefully learned their lesson from. The Onza TE.

Well for certain games like COD which have inherently broken engines you need to have the exact same experience to not have a random advantage sadly.

It's Xbox One controller so it should be wireless as far as I know. And damn you're so excited about this ( I can imagine you drooling from excitment ).

Looks cool I wanna see this for a PS4 controller.

Don't need to. It's not a keyboard and mouse, and is therefore inferior. Specifically in first-person shooters.

I would say that it's all around inferior, but then again I seem to be one of the few people who prefer a KBM for driving in games like GTA V.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

As far as I can remember, third party xbox controllers have to be wired. Wired controllers are for poor people. GG

I believe it is wired only. I get the reasoning that "professional" gear should be wired, but for the price, there should be the option of wired and wireless.

How does that apply to what I was talking about? I was referencing how FPS changes things like bullet speed or damage.

I would just like to point out that the green pieces are additional grips.

That for x360 and wasn't the case. People just didn't want to pay for the licensing. Remember the wireless guitar hero 3 controller for X360?
